Fort Worth, Texas

• • • Mira Vista is the first and only private, gated golf community in the Fort Worth area, and is one of the finest of its kind in all of Texas. The community provides a friendly, upscale atmosphere for residents, most of whom are local professionals and business owners.

• • • The centerpiece of Mira Vista is an outstanding golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, which has been ranked among the top 15 courses in Texas by The Dallas Morning News. William Zmistowski designed the spacious clubhouse. Competitions hosted here include the Men's and Women's Southwest Conference Championships, the 1994 Texas State Amateur, the 1998 Southern Amateur Championship, the 2000 Texas State Mid-Amateur and the 2004 USGA Girls Junior Amateur Championship.

• • • Begun in 1985, the 620-acre project was acquired from the Resolution Trust Company in 1995 with prominent Fort Worth businessman Richard Rainwater as the lead investor. The community’s 740 homesites were sold out by the end of 2003, and by 2006 the community was nearly 80% built out.

• • • In 1994, Mira Vista was contributed for stock to Crescent Real Estate Equities, Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust of which Mr. Rainwater is a principal shareholder. The Highlands Companies continue to manage the club and community for Crescent.
